Terms of Use
Terms for CardDirector’s Website and Services.
These terms cover the current website and free Early Access waitlist. CardDirector is not currently accepting payments. Additional software, subscription, checkout, and desktop license terms will be presented before paid access is offered.
Effective September 5, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using carddirector.com, joining the Early Access waitlist, or using an available CardDirector service, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice. Do not use the service if you do not agree.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these terms. A paid subscription, trial enrollment, or other binding purchase must be completed by a person who is at least 18 years old or has otherwise reached the age of majority where they live. If a younger user is permitted to use CardDirector, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for the account, purchase, and compliance with applicable terms.
3. Program Purpose and Commercial Boundaries
CardDirector is Windows desktop software designed to help users research potential purchases, surface potential grading opportunities, compare estimated market values, model estimated results when sufficient inputs are available, track grading and submissions, manage resale follow-through, and retain connected records.
CardDirector provides informational estimates, comparison tools, and record organization. It is not a sports-card marketplace, dealer, broker, payment processor, escrow service, gambling or prize service, or financial or investment adviser. CardDirector does not buy or sell cards, hold or route transaction funds, or guarantee a purchase or sale outcome.
4. Scenario-Based Estimates and No Guaranteed Outcomes
CardDirector does not guarantee grades, card condition, certification outcomes, values, prices, buyer demand, liquidity, sales, delivery timing, provider availability, data completeness, margins, or profits. Estimates and projected outcomes can be wrong or change.
“Potential Grading Opportunity,” “Estimated Profit,” “Estimated Loss,” “Estimated Margin,” “Estimated Net Result,” and “Estimated Resale Difference” are scenario-based informational outputs derived from available data and user-entered assumptions. They are not appraisals, investment recommendations, buy-or-sell instructions, or promises of future value.
“Recorded Profit/Loss” is a recordkeeping calculation for a completed transaction based on sale amounts and costs entered or confirmed by the user. It is not a tax calculation or accounting, legal, financial, or investment advice.
Grading decisions are made solely by the grading company. Users remain responsible for verifying card identity, condition, costs, fees, shipping, taxes, market information, and transaction terms before acting.
5. Free Waitlist and Future Early Access
The current Early Access waitlist is free. Joining does not create an account or subscription, start a trial, require payment information, guarantee an invitation, reserve a price, or purchase future software.
If paid Early Access opens, invited users will receive the available software immediately after completing the applicable enrollment and activation steps. Prerelease software may contain errors, incomplete features, changing workflows, unavailable services, data-format changes, or interruptions.
Selected users may be required to accept separate Early Access terms, a desktop end-user license agreement, privacy disclosures, and connected-service terms before installation or account activation. Users should keep backups and should not rely on prerelease software as the only record of important card, order, shipment, or sale information.
6. Planned Subscriptions, Trials, Cancellation, and Billing
CardDirector is not currently accepting payments or paid subscriptions. The planned paid Early Access offer is $12.99 per month after a planned 14-day trial. These details may change before paid enrollment opens and do not constitute a current offer for sale.
Before any payment information is submitted, checkout will identify the seller or Merchant of Record and disclose the final trial period, first charge date, recurring price, taxes, automatic-renewal terms, cancellation method, applicable refund policy, and transaction terms.
If launched as planned, the subscription will renew monthly until canceled. CardDirector intends to provide an online self-service cancellation path. CardDirector will update these Terms, the Privacy Notice, and the Refund Policy before accepting payments.
Ending a trial or paid subscription may place the desktop in Read Only mode and restrict paid editing, connected services, imports, and updates. Ending paid access is not designed to delete locally stored card and workflow records; the final desktop license and checkout terms will control viewing, backup, export, billing, and support access.
7. Desktop Software License
Access to the CardDirector desktop application may be subject to a separate end-user license agreement presented before installation, activation, or paid use. That agreement may address the permitted license scope, supported devices, updates, periodic entitlement checks, temporary offline grace, backup responsibilities, prohibited reverse engineering or circumvention, termination, and continued access to local records.
If a desktop license agreement conflicts with these general website Terms on a matter specific to the desktop software, the desktop license agreement will control for that matter.
8. Connected Services
Connected services are optional and may require an eligible third-party account, authorization, provider approval, and compliance with provider terms. If paid Early Access opens as planned, its included connected market-data workflow will not require the user to purchase a separate market-data subscription.
CardDirector supports eBay listing research and user-authorized eBay order and shipment information. Direct USPS, UPS, and FedEx account connections and PSA-connected services are not currently offered.
Connected market-data features use supported provider access to complete on-demand searches and pricing requests. Availability, coverage, limits, and returned data can vary by provider and may change over time.
External providers may change or discontinue access, limits, data, or policies. CardDirector cannot guarantee uninterrupted provider availability.
9. Market Data and Permitted Use
Market data and provider-derived information made available through CardDirector are licensed or provided for use within the CardDirector experience and may be subject to additional provider restrictions.
Unless CardDirector or the applicable provider expressly permits it, users may not scrape, bulk-extract, systematically copy, resell, redistribute, publish, sublicense, or use provider-derived data to build a competing market-data product or database, or attempt to bypass access, caching, licensing, or usage controls.
Market data can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or incorrect. Users remain responsible for verifying information before making purchasing, grading, listing, selling, or other decisions.
10. Authorized eBay Use
Authenticated account information is available only for the connected eBay user. Users may not attempt to expose another person’s nonpublic eBay information, bypass access controls, misuse provider data, or use CardDirector for an unauthorized marketplace purpose.
CardDirector does not place purchases, bids, offers, listings, refunds, or dispute actions on the user’s behalf. Transactions conducted through eBay or another third-party marketplace occur on that service and are governed by its terms.
11. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
Users are responsible for information they enter or import, decisions they make, account and device security, local backups, marketplace and carrier obligations, grading submissions, listings, sales, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws and third-party terms.
Users must not misuse the website or program, probe protected routes without authorization, interfere with service operation, introduce malicious code, share credentials improperly, bypass license or entitlement controls, automate abusive requests, scrape restricted data, or attempt to extract secrets or credentials.
Before acting on imported or generated information, users are responsible for reviewing card identity, listing details, prices, fees, shipping, taxes, grades, certification information, and other transaction terms for accuracy.
12. Third-Party Services, Names, and Trademarks
CardDirector is an independent product. References to eBay, PSA, card manufacturers, sports leagues, grading companies, carriers, or data providers do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless CardDirector expressly states otherwise.
Third-party names, trademarks, services, data, and content remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners.
13. Intellectual Property
CardDirector, its website, software, branding, documentation, design, and original content are owned by CardDirector LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. CardDirector™ is a trademark of CardDirector LLC.
14. Feedback
Users may provide suggestions, issue reports, and other feedback. CardDirector may use that feedback to improve the product without an obligation to compensate the contributor, while respecting personal-information obligations.
15. Service Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, prerelease software, connected services, and information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardDirector LLC and its owners, developers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, lost-profit, lost-data, lost-opportunity, or business-interruption damages arising from the website, program, connected services, or reliance on program information.
17. Suspension and Termination
CardDirector may restrict or terminate access for fraud, chargebacks, abuse, security risk, provider violations, nonpayment after applicable notice or grace periods, or violation of governing terms. Applicable trial, paid-through, cancellation, and local-record access rules will be described in the subscription and desktop license terms.
18. Changes
These terms may be updated as the website, software, connected services, billing model, and legal requirements change. Material changes will be published with a revised effective date.
